Frequently asked questions
The NDIS Framework
Service Alignment: Please note that all support provided by Balance by Design is intentionally aligned with the specific goals outlined in your NDIS plan.
1. The Discovery Session (Onboarding) Our process begins with a conversation centered on your NDIS goals.
This initial discussion allows us to:
Identify Outcomes: Explore exactly what you want to achieve through your funding.
Understand Your Vision: Discuss the type of work you’re interested in and learn about your unique needs, wants, and interests.
Build Confidence: Ensure you feel comfortable, safe, and in control of the process from day one.
2. Goal-Directed Sessions Because your goals guide the way, our sessions are flexible. You lead the discussion, and we provide the professional expertise to help you build the capacity needed to reach those milestones.
For NDIS participants, payment depends on how your plan is managed:
Plan-managed: Invoices are sent directly to your plan manager, who will process payment on your behalf.
Self-managed: Invoices are issued to you directly and are payable within 14 days. You can then claim the cost back through your NDIS plan.
Sessions are delivered with flexibility and scheduled to suit your personal preferences. While many participants find that a weekly session provides the best momentum, the frequency is ultimately guided by your specific needs, your available funding, and our current availability. We work with you to establish a rhythm that supports your goals without feeling overwhelming.
